Innovative Church Dynamics -
Our Name is our Mission

Innovative: At ICD we are forward looking, assisting congregations in the formation of ministries and programs that look to the future of the church.

Church: Our main focus, in all that we do, is concentrated on the Lord's Church (as expressed in local congregations) and the expanding Kingdom of God.

Dynamics: The mission of the Church is expressed in action and motion. Moving out of our history and tradition, we seek to motivate, encourage and lead congregations into a new and fresh understanding of what it means to be the Lord's Church in the 21st century.

ICD is comprised of pastors and lay people who have a passion for the church and who express that passion in innovative strategies for extending the church's ministry and impacting the lives of people with the Good News of God's love in Jesus. We are committed to assisting congregations in discovering new ways to reach out to people of the 21st century.

Our goal is to help congregations effectively develop their mission and ministry in order that the timeless message of Jesus can be heard, assimilated and responded to by those seeking a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus and the church.

We strive to collaborate with congregations providing partnership, guidance, strategy and program in order to more fully realize the vision of Jesus to "go unto all nations."

We provide individual and group consultation providing assistance in the formation of Mission, Vision, Values and Goals to reach out to a 21st century people with the timeless message of Jesus. This is accomplished though one-on-one meetings with pastors and lay leaders, group strategy sessions, goal setting seminars and follow up support.

The goal of any consultation is to provide the congregation with long lasting results and not just a series of tasks to be preformed.

We desire that once a consultation is complete the congregation will have the tools and resources they need to continue to grow and transform over many years and so that they may never need our service again.

ICD provides assistance and guidance to congregations as they discover their own Mission and Vision and, together, develop concrete strategies to achieve the potential that God has placed within the lives of all of God's people. We use the lessons learned in the secular world and put them to use for the Lord's Church.

Specifically, at ICD we concentrate on a number of vital church structures and ministries as they relate to and support the Mission, Vision and Values of the congregation. These prime areas of focus are:

Communication

Worship

Public Relations

Visitor attraction, trial and loyalty

Team Building

Goal Setting

Facility

Resource Management

Transition/Change/Tension Management

Education and Discipleship Training

Together, we partner with the congregation to discover the essential values of the congregation and then assist the leadership in developing a concrete plan of action for the implementation of ministries and programs that support the Mission, Vision and Values of the congregation.

Outside consultation is effective because it provides a non-biased, outside perspective on the current functioning of the congregation and specific strategies for attaining the congregations stated mission.

Crucial to the success of the collaboration between congregation and consultant is a assessment phase so that all parties have a clear understanding of the goals, scope and expected outcome of the project.

Assessment is vital because it provides the consultant with a through understanding of the situation and issues within the congregation. This is usually accomplished through conversation with the pastor and a few key leaders of the congregation prior to the consultation phase. Responsibilities and expectations will be discussed and a mutually agreeable timeline will be created.

Specific time is spent examining the mission of the congregation, the nature of this new generation of believers and ministries and programs are tailored to speak the timeless Good News of Jesus in a context that can be heard, received and assimilated into the lives of 21st century seekers.

Consultations generally consist of a weekend seminar (Friday evening - Saturday lunch) with key leaders of the congregation, one on one appointments with the pastor & council and six to twelve months of follow up and evaluation.

Periodic check-in and evaluation is built into the process so that outcomes can be modified as new information comes to light. Other consultation services are also offered on an as needed basis. A written proposal is always offered before any consultation is begun

All materials needed (including workbooks) are provided. Power point slides and notes are also included in the consultation seminar
